Throughout the year the Tourist Office offers guided tours of the village and of the Collegiale Saint-Martin. (Information on 05.63.02.05.55). Tours last approximately 1 h 15 – 2€/pers.
 
The association “The Friends of the Collegiale St-Martin” also offers discovery tours of the 7 churches to be found in the Commune. Guided tours are organised on an ad hoc basis (Information on 05.63.02.05.55).

Deportation stele


Discover
the Church of our Lady of Saux hidden in a little copse ; the church dates from the 14th – 16th centuries, is classified as an historic monument and has fine vaults and frescos.
 
The hamlets of Montpezat such as

"Pretty mills"


Watermill of St-Géraud at Labarthe

Free, open all year round on mondays, wednesdays and fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm. Other days by appointment only – call 05.63.67.68.99
From Montpezat take the D20 to Molières, continue for 6kms and follow signs to Labarthe.
 
Windmill of Boisse at Ste Alauzie

By appointment only – 1.50 € - tel:05.63.21.84.56
Take D38 to Castelnau then towards Cahors on the D659 – after 2kms turn left to Boisse
 
Brousse Watermill at Castelnau-Montratier

Free – by appointment only – tel : 05.65.81.95.81
Take the road to Lauzerte out of Castelnau, turn right onto the D4 – after 2 kms turn left onto D 104 (after the bridge) and continue for 300 m.

 

Certain mills are only open to visitors on National Mill day in mid June, don’t miss it !

"The Bastides"


Typical of the Midi-Pyrénées, Bastides are the “new towns of the middle ages” (13th century), created to deal with the fast growing population. One of their characteristics is their internal grid system.

Go south to Montauban, built of red brick around the beautiful Place Nationale.

Drive along the valley of the Aveyron to Bruniquel, to discover castles, beautiful houses and stunning views.

Continue to St Antonin Noble Val where you will find a rich variety of arts and crafts in the city’s narrow streets.

Finally, on to Caylus, a small encircled by the hillside.
